And the winner is…USA
The Olympics are over. It seems like they just started and now they are over. Well, we didn’t watch very much. Why is that, you ask? Stupid NBC decided to tape delay everything. Here we are in the same time zone as Vancouver and we don’t get to see the events when they happen. So by the time we watch at 8 pm we already know the results, which takes all the fun and excitement out of the games. In prior years we really enjoyed the winter Olympics, mainly because we all like to ski. The Salt Lake City Olympics were really fun. This year it wasn’t fun at all and I think it had a lot to do with the coverage. We got to watch what NBC wanted us to see when they wanted to show it.
Well at least the USA got more medals in this winter Olympics than in any other. And I was very happy that both Germany and Canada did very well. The highlight for me was the 4 man bobsled team from the USA which took the gold. The last time they did that was in 1948, the year before I was born. Why would I be interested in the bobsled team? Ask Dale, he has a very funny story to tell you.
